A new base of recycled MOT Type 1 foundation is installed into the area, and machine rolled to lock in place. The minimum depth of this base should be 5 inches, and the levels should be set to direct the surface water runoff at this stage.
Depending on the type of surface you have chosen to have installed on your driveway, it will now be laid it into the area. For example, block paving will be laid on top of river-washed sharp sand which is screeded to an accurate level, whilst tarmac or asphalt will have the base wearing course applied to it if you have opted for asphalt.
Once the finished surface is installed, it will machine rolled or vibrate compacted depending on the surface and the area will be cleaned down.
